A lot of us are waiting for the new ios 15.1 jailbreak and the last thing we want to wake up in the morning, find the phone has been updated to the latest version, so I decided to share this method which I’ve been using for a while.
The idea is to block the domain used to fetch and download the ios updates without 3rd party DNS apps by using the built-in feature in ios 14+ called “Encrypted DNS feature” which allows you to use your custom DNS over networks.
This method will prevent iOS updates if you are connected to cellular or wifi, jailbroken or not.
Note : you don’t need to do this method if you already have done any other methods like Unc0ver disable updates option or iCleaner turning off OTA daemon option.
- Go to nextdns.io and sign up for free
- After having your account, go to the “Denylist” tab and add this domain:
gdmf.apple.com - Now go back to the “Setup” tab and scroll down to “Configuration Profile” and click on "apple.nextdns.io"
- You will be directed to Apple Configuration Profile, just pick a name for your profile then click download then install the profile
- Now try to go check for new updates, it will keep telling you “Unable to check for update”.
Optional: You can use the app instead of the profile (step 3 and 4)
Profit: you can configure your DNS as you like to prevent tracking and blocking Ads and more, you can also set up this custom DNS on the browser or your router, just follow the instructions on the website.
Tip : ( Credit to u/Z3ROS1X) This list not only blocks iOS OTA Updates, but also app revocations (even on iOS 15 where Apple revokes unofficial apps easily) with no issues on my end whatsoever:

Hello All, Trying to help my boomer in-laws out remotely…
They have a wahoo bike that they share and want to set up zwift. They have two separate accounts but for some reason my FILs shows up twice on the Zwift Home Screen.I can’t figure out how to remove all the profiles and start over. It doesn’t seem like Zwift has extended settings in the settings menu. Help!
Been playing for a bit. At level 52 and have played several pro events to completion and well over 50 rated multiplayer rounds. If I delete and reinstall the app will I lose all of my data etc…? Otherwise is there another way to fix this?

Client insist that he wants the do a iCloud restore on their iPhone for a new Intune installation, which cause the device to skip the install profile section from the wizard, and then when they download te company portal and enroll it install a removable MDM profile on their iPhone even if the device is managed through ABM
My question is can Apple Configurator be used to push a non removable profile on an iPhone from intune without reformatting the device, or we have no choice we have to install the non removable profile from the initial wizard of the iPhone?
Recently I grew a bit fed up with my TV’s smart system. It became laggy, clunky to use and unpleasant in general. I decided to buy a separate device and since I already own a couple of Apple’s products - the latest AppleTV 4K was an obvious choice. It’s one of the most expensive TV boxes out there, but ( as I thought) experience should be top notch, especially if I’m accustomed to the ecosystem. User Profiles was one of the features I was looking forward to after watching reviews. Having a different profiles for me and my GF would be great for having f.e different shows recommendations - I loved the idea, and it became one of the reason for my decision I purchased my device and while I think that overall UI navigation is great, it’s inane implementation of User Profiles are making me post this fruitless rant on the internet.
I thought that having seperate profiles would allow me to install apps separately to my GF. Unfortunately apps installed on one profile are showing up on other profiles as well. I'm the only one who watches stuff on Twitch, and the app will just clutter homescreen on my GFs profile for no reason.
This leads to another problem with apps - you cannot log in to them separately as well. That means that if you log in in one profile, then the same account will be logged in in the second one, which is one of the more infuriating things with Apple’s box. We have our own Spotify accounts we’d like to use, but it's impossible with AppleTV. Some apps, allow to sign it with more than one account (like YouTube), but still switching profiles on ATV does not make them switch to another account on the app, forcing you to switch a second time in the app itself. Next thing is the homescreen, which is the same for all profiles, there's no way to edit app grid separately. Because of that, there’s no way to tell on which profile you’re in at a glance There's no other UI indication as well, so for that information you need to pull out the control centre.
First account you sync with ATV will become a default profile. After adding another one there's no way to change the default profile. The only way is to remove all accounts and sync them in different order. And that’s even a procedure that Apple recommends in their documentation. Another thing I’ve tested related do this, was launching a game I bought on my profile, was my GF’s account was set as a default one. Thoughts on when Zwift will update the GPU profile for this device? It has been months since the device release. Hold thy breath or perhaps considering returning it and buy some second hand laptop instead (sure maybe not same price, but in relative terms for better experience).

I have some VLAN and NextDNS configuration which work fine (e.g my IoT VLAN and my LAN VLAN both have a different configuration and that's seems to work fine since the DNS server is different.
The problem, some other VLAN with they own config/DNS server doesn't seems to have any traffic at all according to NextDNS.
I did setup the specific DNS server as per NextDNS settings in the VLAN DNS server config (no other DNS server, same public IP than the order VLANs)
some client on this VLAN even have a Apple Mobile Profile for NextDNS made from the specific NextDNS configuration but yet this configuration report data at all
- for one of the IOS client on this specific VLAN, (and with MDM profile) the correct DNS server is reported in settings/WiFi/BSID name>i (icons for details informations)
Currently the image you set up as your Apple ID profile picture is automatically set as your Mac account profile pic. I use two Macs with macOS Monterey – one at home and one at work – but both are logged in to my Apple ID. I'd like to have one of my Macs to not share my Apple ID picture. Is there a way to force a Mac to use a picture separate from Apple ID?

Hey guys, my name is Hamza and I have been getting into indie horror games, so I started with the FNAF series. I finished it but I have yet to get Security Breach until the bugs are fixed. I asked a friend about some other horror games that have a lot of interesting story, so he suggested to me Andy's Apple Farm. It is a game about where you (the player) are beta testing a man named Thomas Eastwood's game he created, called "Andy's Apple Farm": a game where an anthropomorphic apple named Andy, and he has to complete a series of minigames to get back his house keys that were stolen from his friends. The game may seem innocent and childish, however, in the game, there are many scary glitches and loud jumpscares, that follow up with pixelated cutscenes of many horrifying and interesting things, like the story on how Thomas' son drowned in a river, and Thomas burning his house with his family in it for he was possessed by a demon that consumed him in the rage of his son drowning in the river. The game is very interesting and fun looking, but I heard that you had to pay for the steam version in order to access the Christmas DLC with a lot of more important story and gameplay. Trying to see if I can push out the Intune Company Portal before removing the devices from the Apple Profile Manager. Then delete the Apple Profile Manager so that the user can just open Intune Company Portal and configure that.
Is it possible to leave any managed apps installed? Currently it removes them all
Plex on ATV still won't properly play profile 5 Dolby Vision in an MKV container. MP4 container works fine, but obviously MKV is preferable because of its support for lossless audio. Infuse on the ATV plays back these DV5 MKVs perfectly fine, so there isn't a technical limitation—is this something being worked on? Or has the Plex team decided that the community is moving towards Profile 8 (which definitely seems like is happening) and giving up on ATV (since it's unlikely Apple will ever support Profile 8 DV)?
Recently upgraded few devices to IOS 15.1
Post that the profile stopped blocking ads. Same website when browsed in other devices blocks the ads successfully. I reinstalled the profile but that didn't help.
Is this a known behavior?? Any workarounds
