Help! I just got the alpha Rex headlights and my driver side DRL will not turn white and permanently stays amber… every other function works fine but even when I use the blinker on that side the DRL stays solid (I have a TRD off-road and installed without using the wire harness)

I have heard some bad things about the reliability of all the aftermarket headlights. Is there any way to get the amber Morimoto DRL look that is reliable, and doesn’t cost $1,400? (2021 SR5P).

Did a headlight refresh today; polished lenses, installed LED low beams, and added amber LED parking lights. Very happy with the results.

ELI5: How can LED lights shine brighter than incandescent and amber headlights for example while using significantly less energy?
I understand that LEDs are more efficient and don’t put off nearly as much heat, but how can they still be much brighter and use way less energy? Also, how can lights be so bright and use such little energy to begin with?

Anyone have any experience with similar headlights on a ‘01? I was hoping to hook up the running light wire to the amber halo. Since my headlight is constantly on, I wasn’t sure if there would be complications with having both the halo and hi/low beams on at the same time (overheating, etc)

I know if I activate my turns to DRL instead of low beams in forscan, that my turn signal lights lights will be on. Anybody know if it will also activate the Amber switchback on my Alpharex Pro headlights? I'm trying to avoid rewiring my headlights to have the Amber on all the time if possible.
