Can someone tell me what's great about Mason Plumlee? I'm just curious on how he gets these $14M- $15M contracts, despite not being one of the most known players in the league. What makes him great that makes him earn a $14M contract?

Hi y'all,
I am an intermediate-and-growing paddler looking to explore some of rivers on a trip I'm taking through the southeast. I'm slowly building up to Class IV and like the idea of a course that's as contained as WW centers like I've seen footage of/heard friends talk about.
I'll be driving through the Charlotte area and just looked up the spot down there... $64 is kinda pricy for a sport I am used to doing with a small parking fee at the most for my usual runs/typical river trips (long permitted trips aside).
So, is it worth it? How do you maximize the experience? I'll be going alone, but I'm very accustomed to joining FB groups when I go to a new place where I want to also paddle... Just kinda thinking it'd have to be an incredible experience to justify that kind of expense. It's nice to have infinite shuttles a la ski experience, but holy crap yo!

I asked myself "Surely if the chieftains knew Hannibal's plans, they wouldn't sign upfor being basically fodder for the Roman center while Carthaginians were either placed on the flanks or reserve. If the battle goes sour, they are the first ones to know (and die), and if they win the battle, they will still have asymmetrically larger casualties compared to Carthaginians.
Maybe I'm thinking from a too modern perspective here but if the answer is something other than "Because everybody listens to the general-in-chief", I'd really like to know that. Maybe Hannibal told them the plan and convinced them by increasing its promises, although I'd doubt we'd have historical accounts on that.
