In October 2020, my Dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer. In March 2021, he had surgery to remove the tumour and part of his stomach. After 18 months of chemo, radio, and immunotherapy, his scans have come back clear. His next scan is in February.
I want to say that people who work in oncology are absolute heroes. If it weren't for the tireless efforts of the staff in Galway Clinic, I wouldn't have my Dad.

How about the Romans and the stuff they did to get rid of the Messiah when he was supposedly born?
Seems strange there aren't a bunch of them as the Romans kept a ton of records of everything - just like the Germans.

So I went through my teen years in the late 80's into the 90's. Played in several punk, ska/punk, crust, grindcore, and hardcore bands. Had the chance to visit many states playing or seeing shows and in almost every city we stopped in there would be a mom-and-pop type record shop or skate shop with records etc. Some huge (like Amoeba in Berkley) some small but charming and weird like Love Garden Sounds in Lawrence KS and some legendary like Headline Records in LA. Many of these had huge punk sections. All three of those shops are still around but... Amoeba and Love Garden don't have nearly as much vintage punk rock as back in the 80's/90's. There were also some mail-order (yeah pre-internet taking over the world haha) places like Two Tone in NY or was is NJ I forget (many considered them a shop for posers though haha) and Angry Young and Poor (they are still around and amazing) that sold clothing and other items too.
So long post to get to the question... are there any independently owned record stores in the USA in this day and age that lean heavily into punk as the main genre they specialize in???
Especially original issued vinyl (looking to fill in my collection and want to give my $$$ to a local shop(s) to help keep it alive). I frequently visit other cities/states and I always stop into record shops and over the past 20 years have been disappointed at how small or non-existent the vintage/used/original pressing sections of punk, ska, and hardcore are.
I am into and collect all types of music but... miss the days that a record shop would be punk rock focused.
