A list of puns related to "Affairs of State"
Hey all, hope you are doing well today.
I had a thought in my head about the current climate of our community and wanted to know whether or not this has been just my experience or perhaps this is part of a larger trend.
Ever since DnD 5e has come out, everything kind of shifted priority. There are good parts to this and bad ones too.
The good: I see that people are a lot more enthusiastic about role playing their characters. I also see that people who are playing actually try to read and understand what they can do when it comes to mechanics.
The bad: it seems to me that majority of players are not interested in exploring other RPGs , Iโve had groups collapse because of a simple desire to switch systems. I also see that there is a shift of players wanting to have every moment to be cinematic, dynamic, daring in some way, which is not really possible for an average DM, especially if you are just starting out.
Those of you who have been in the hobby for a while, what changes have you seen since this explosion of popularity?
I am happy we have more people in the community, I just wish people were interested in trying new things and getting out their comfort zone.
in my country, we're in official quarantine starting tomorrow for the next 3 weeks and the number of casualties is on the rise. People are out of their jobs and I don't see enough promising news; well, not promising enough to warrant quarantine any less than a month. I'm feeling depressed one day in, and anxious for what the future holds. What do you guys expect? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
EDIT: Please excuse me butchering the title; It's 4;00 AM and I didn't want to repost it incase anyone was writing their answer while I take it down.
Sad state of affairs
And yet some brexiters claim "Brexit is done"
Two very poorly received live service games released at a similar time from what were once beloved studios. The Anthem sub is nothing but depression and despair yet /r/fo76/ is weirdly optimistic. They are having fun with the game, the majority of the posts in the sub are positive and the game seems to be getting actual love and continued support from Bethesda (a weekly live stream with updates and Patch mother-flippin' 9.0 releasing shortly).
I had written off Fallout 76 but I reckon I'll dip my toe in if I can find it cheap enough (I doubt it will be difficult to find it at a discount). If I had to pick either Anthem or Fo76 to survive and actually live up to their promises my money is on Fallout over the shit show Anthem has become.
(or, ya know, studios could just go back to releasing finished products, but that's nothing but a pipe dream at this point)
Some of your coworkers are gunned down, and you're supposed to feel better because you get a t-shirt with what is now a clichรฉd catchphrase? I mean no disrespect to anyone reading here who may work for Miller-Coors, or who is directly related to the tragic losses experienced there. It just kind of sickens me that as a nation, we've sort of come up with a "brand" for how we react in the face of these incidents.
I am reading and getting messages from coworkers in the US abt how overwhelmed their hospital systems are - DNR policies being revisited etc. Do you think we Canadians are doing enough? I havent ventured out in 12 days, so dont know if ppl are seriously following social distancing. Are our hospitals overstrained? What more can we do? I honestly think we should extend this shutdown for a cpl of more weeks.
#Message from you on Sep 24 @ 12:41pm | 2 weeks ago Good Afternoon,
I would like to bring to your attention that Fallout 4 VR does not work correctly with Valve Index controllers despite the game showing as supporting these devices on the Steam store page.
Unlike Skyrim VR, Fallout 4 VR detects the Index Controllers as Vive Wands when it launches. This leads to major issues when playing the game making even simple actions such as navigating menus or selecting dialogue options impossible to complete.
Can this issue please be looked into and like Valve have done with Skyrim VR, have Fallout 4 VR detect the Index Controllers as Oculus Touch devices when it is launched?
Myself and the wider Fallout 4 VR community would be extremely appreciative of this fix so we can continue to enjoy this title on our Index Headsets / Controllers.
Better still, a wider SteamVR option under the controllers settings to select which type of device the Index Controller should emulate for specific legacy titles would be even better as it would allow end users to simply select and assign 'Oculus Touch' or 'Vive Wands' as the emulation type to any title with such problems.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Index Controller.
A new update to the SteamVR beta has corrected many input behaviors with the touch sensitivity of the Index Controller joystick and touchpad and should alleviate the issues you are experiencing:
Exit SteamVR
Right click SteamVR in your library (under the 'Tools' or 'VR' categories)
Select properties
Navigate to the BETAS tab
From the drop down menu, select "beta - SteamVR Beta Update."
Once closed, the Steam Client will start downloading the update.
If you continue to have problems after these suggestions, for game specific issues we suggest contacting the developers as well.
You can reach Fallout 4 VR support by using the information from the Official Support section here.

#Message from you on Sep 26 @ 9:41am | 2 weeks ago Good Morning,
The SteamVR Beta does not help this issue. The problem is that the SteamVR legacy binding support for Fallout 4 VR is set to 'Vive Wand' mode by SteamVR and not 'Oculus Touch' as it needs to be for the game to work correctly with the Index controllers.
The end user has no ability to select which controller type legacy mode should emulate for a particular game and as suc

I get it, things are bad at the moment, Ole isn't doing as well as we want, results are terrible, but he is limited in what he can do at the moment.
Let me get into this a bit more.
He has a squad where a lot of players don't deserve to be there, the deadwood, and he has done his best to get rid of some of that. The players brought in by other managers who have lingered on the sidelines, lived in the treatment room, aren't as good as we hoped or are just plain mercenaries.
The fact of the matter is that Ole would probably keep 9-10 players of the squad he currently has and five of them would be first team and the others rotation. Which means there are still a lot of players who still need to go. He can't replace everyone at once, otherwise we would be in a worse situation. He addressed our defense with the signings of Wan-Bissaka and Maguire, two sorely needed and high quality players. He also brought in James who, frankly has been one of our best players which is saying something.
This brings me to recruitment, the board or Ed or whoever have been at fault for the last few years with poor recruitment and we're seeing the results, the rot has set in and needs to be removed. With players who aren't good enough for us and contract renewals that weren't deserved. This is where we are, and we need to accept it.
I think the board have no choice but to back Ole now, but there are so few players who can create and score, I don't think it would matter who was in charge, the results would be as dire. Ole has the right plan with his current recruitment strategy. We all wanted more from the previous transfer window, but we need to accept that sometimes the right players aren't available when we need them and I hope that come January, we are making the right moves, like getting Eriksen under the Bosman rulings for example. I was frustrated that we haven't replaced Herrera, Fellaini, Lukaku or Sanchez. Whether we like it or not, they were not the players to take us to the next level and there were flaws in all their play styles. Particularly Lukaku and Fellaini. They served a purpose but in relation to the quick play-style we want, they were never going to be able to deliver sexy football to Old Trafford.
Ole has come out and said t
... keep reading on reddit โกA-php was included on most of these orders as well. Quality has not changed, still the best pyro available currently
My orders were:
September:
A-pihp
October:
3f-a-pvp
MPy
December:
A-PCYP
MD-PVP
MD-PHP
MD-PVP, MPy, and any batch of current md-php is garbage. Md-php is probably my favorite pyro, but good batches are long gone. All three are 0/10, avoid at all costs. Tan sandy md-php fb was a 9/10. These white crystals are 0/10
I've bought 3f-a-pvp 3 times in the last year or two. This was the only active batch. A solid 6.5/10 but no reason to reorder
A-PCYP: I do not get the hype for this. It's okay but recommended in every thread. There's better out there, boys. I'd rank it a 5/10
A-pihp: apparently I bought the good batch and worse ones came after. The good batch is a solid 7/10.
A-php: a classic. Consistent 8/10 on every order.
Every dose was vaped, don't bother asking about other ROAs. Aside from that, AMA
Iโve recently been out of work for the last couple months while we finished a remodel on our home and relocated for my spouseโs job. We moved somewhere much smaller and more rural than where we were living prior.
Now that COVID-19 has changed things, Iโm postponing the job hunt for the time being. Prior to this, I was hoping to find remote work but now Iโm not sure how many jobs are available. Iโve been thinking this might change the landscape of some workplaces - such as office settings. Maybe they will see some positions can be handled remotely, opening up the candidate pool. On the flip side, more people may see that they would prefer working from home in light of whatโs happening, I suppose.
Regardless, Iโm thinking I should use the time to reassess what I would like to do career-wise. Anyone else feeling this way? If so, what is your current job and what would you hope to transition to?
u/FluGuy2019, can you give him some encouragement? It's not even like his customers would notice if he took some time out from deliveries.
