October 2026 - Following a scandal in which it was found prominent Taiwanese politicans had been bought with CCP money, Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te addresses the Legislative Yuan and calls for the Republic of China to offically change its name to the Republic of Taiwan. Chinese air space violations in the ADIZ subsequently increase by 500% in a period of two weeks.
November 2026 - President Josh Hawley suffers an all time low in approval rating and the Republicans lose their majority in Congress due to the poor American response to the Estonian conflict. The Chinese politiburo becomes emboldened by the domestic turmoil suffered by the Americans and their current distraction in Europe. Planning begins on the invasion of Taiwan.
19 November 2026 - The People's Liberation Army begin a massive theatre level exercise off the coast of the strait of Taiwan combined with a heavy economic sanction. Taiwanese reservists are mobilized in response and the United States sends the USS John F. Kennedy Battlegroup to the Western Pacific to bolster the 7th Fleet. Rotational elements in Okinawa and Korea begin mobilizing for an unprecedented joint exercise with the Taiwanese Army and the 4-25th Airborne Brigade conduct a large force entry exercise meant to simulate "Intial force entry onto a hostile mountainous island".
20 November 2026 - The PRC warns that large American formations on Taiwan will be seen as an immediate act of aggression and warns that US partners in the Pacific stay out of China's internal affairs.
27 November 2026 - ROTS Yueh Fei opens fire on a PAF Maritime Militia trawler conducting espionage operations. The PLA Strategic Support forces retaliate with a massive cyber attack on Taiwanese infastrucure. The President orders that US forces expedite their movement to Taiwan.
01 December 2026 - The Penghu and Quemoy Islands are overrun overnight by Chinese Special Forces. A massive air and artillery bombardment begins over the island of Taiwan.
04 December 2026 - PLAN Amphibious Assault Ships begin moving toward the coast of Taiwan. The invasion of Taiwa
