A list of puns related to "5th Gear"
Hey guys. Just looking for a little knowledge from the group.
Hit a stretch today and decided to let the Evo stretch its legs. Ran through 4th and 5th with WOT but at some point in 5th, way before the limiter, I got a fuel cut. Massive backfire, momentary loss of throttle, car just didnβt want anything to do with it. Simply got off the throttle and the car was fine again. I drove it normally and watched the gauges. Everything seemed to check out fine. No lights, no CEL, nothing out of the ordinary. Boost, oil pressure and AFRs read fine too.
Itβs 12Β°F, if that matters. Airβs dense and cold.
Can someone explain the fuel cut and subsequent backfire? Is there anyway to keep it from happening or is it intentional? This is on a 2014 X GSR with FBO and a tune.
Hey all, just wanted some insights.
I have a ZZW30 with a 2zz/6 MT swap. Within the past 5 months after the swap, there were 2 cases where my gearbox acted up. Both times were when the gearbox wasn't warmed up. I had just started driving off in the morning but when I tried to shift to 5th (at low rpms), it felt like a wall was there. the tranny just would not go into gear but there were no grinding noises at all. I tried to shift into 6th and same deal. I went back to 4th and then upshifted to 5th again and it went into both 5th and 6th with no issues.
recently, I realised that when im shifting from 4th to 5th at high rpms, the same issue happens but it only take me 1 or 2 tries to slot the gear lever into 5th. once again, no grinding noises.
im guessing its not something internal? maybe a worn bushing or shifter linkages? The fact that it happens super rarely and only when the car is in motion makes it extremely hard to diagnose. At least if it was grinding, it would be easier to diagnose.
feel free to share some thoughts and opinions
Say you use 1st to get up to 50 and you put it in 5th gear? Does it harm the transmission or something?
I tried pushing diagonal but sometimes miss. The easiest for me is to shift to neutral, pull right, pull up but this process is a bit slow and clunky. I have a spherical shift knob. I think that could be why im having a tough time since i grip the shift knob like a handle rather than palm grip
160k miles, fluid is not bad, but not bright pink. Fluid level is fine. The only trouble code is P0345 - Camshaft position sensor "A" Circuit (Bank 2)
I did a little bit of research and found out that this can throw the car into limp-home mode, However it was maybe 2-3 post that mentioned it with no real concrete evidence. I can't seem to find much info other than some people saying it's a complete transmission failure.
Just bought the car recently. I was told by the owner he had ziptied something under the hood which was serving as a temporary fix for R, 5th, 6th gears. I checked and the ziptie has been undone around "the metal piece" and the "rod" (sorry, I don't know anything about cars. Trying to learn).
Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? Also, what are the proper terms for the vague pieces I'm trying to refer to here (in case anyone is a mindreader lol)?
Thank you!
I have a 2014 ford f150 with a 3.5L Ecoboost like the one in the picture. I was driving on the highway around 60-70mph when out of no were it randomly shifted from 6th gear to 5th gear. As soon as I gave it more gas it shifted back into 6th gear. Any ideas what might have caused this? It drove 2 hours fine after that. Thanks in advance!

I let my dad drive my 95 king cab 4x4 5 speed v6. He's says it feels very underpowered to his old Toyota pickup and thinks it a problem with my distributer. Could my truck not be advancing timing?
Kind of a goofy nitpicky question but i've had no luck trying to find the answer online. I'm looking to replace my miata with a more grown up sports car and a big thing I'm curious about is the highway experience because I commute 6 hours 4 times a month. I'll cruise in the miata at around 80mph and it's very annoying to constantly listen to at 4k rpm the whole time. So yeah, what does the 5 speed cayman rpm sit at around 80mph? And if it does sit at a high rpm like that, is it annoying? Thanks.
New grom rider. On a bigger bike before the grom. Is it me or is 5th gear really weak. I know I'm not going to do 80mph on the it. But I feel better reving out in 4th. Then limping along in 5th. Grom is still stock. Thoughts. What mods would improve 5th gear?
To be honest Gear 5 might just implement the Advanced conqueror's haki we saw in chapter 1027.
this might be a "Stretch" but he could use snake man and conqueror's haki, to increase his range and effectability or use gear 2 to make himself faster. he could also use gear 3 to make his punches have more effect. or it could just be something different, such as an awakening. since rubber is derived of a liquid called latex. luffy could use his awakening to turn into latex or make things he touches into latex maybe he could do those katakuri donuts.
he could also maybe use it to produce electricity as his awakening. since there are specific types of rubbers that can transfer electricity.
let me know if you have any other ideas.
