Sgt. John H. Parks, a tank comander of the 2nd Platoon, B Company, 37th Tank Battalion, 4th Armored Division. Was listed as missing in action at Bigonville, Luxembourg on 23 December 1944, just 13 days after this photo was taken. Sgt Parks was just 25 years of age, his remains were never recovered.

Doing some βdetective workβ for my dad about his father. We donβt know much since he left when my father was young. He was a gunner in the tanks, 4th armored division, went to France, received quite a few awards, wrote my grandmother love letters. Ahh, to be young in 1942 (enlistment year).
