A list of puns related to "2019β20 Russian Football National League"
FAWNL Cup Round 1 draw | FAWNL Plate Round 1 draw
These competitions are close to my heart because
The way they kick off is interesting and relatively unique compared to standard league cup type competitions
The finals are often a preview of who will be coming to the Championship
Spurs won the Cup twice in a row back in 2015/16 & 2016/17
So the way this tournament works is that there is first a "determining round" made up of most of all the 70+ of the Women's National League clubs. The winners advance to play in the League Cup, the losers advance to play in the League Plate. There is a preliminary round in both competitions between 4-8 qualified teams made to keep the cup as an even knockout tournament.
Once the preliminary round concludes, the Cup and Plate function as normal knockout tournaments.
If you live in the UK or follow an English club that doesn't have a women's team in the two leagues, I'd encourage you to take a look at the clubs in the competition and see if there's anyone you want to follow.
We may make some posts on here closer to the finals since the teams which reach the finals are often the ones you'll be seeing in the Championship in the near future.
For example, today you can watch:

Hey guys, with it being the postseason in CFB world I wanted to post this update on football here in Asia. In Korea, thanks to Covid, we had to completely shut down all football leagues for the last two years. Luckily, an easing in restrictions allowed seasons to resume with shortened schedules. With this in mind, the leagues here all went with tournament format for the season. Just tonight, the Seoul National University Green Terrors defeated Sungkyunkwan University Royals to capture the tournament championship.
If I were to name my rock band "The National Football League", and release music unrelated to the sport of football while taking care to steer clear of any imagery associated with the NFL, would they have the right to cease and desist me? And if they did, would I have a case to fight against it?
"The sports business website reports that total video views across the leagueβs digital platforms were up 17 per cent compared to last season to reach 20 billion.
Those figures were bolstered by the NBAβs restart as the league recorded 6.9 billion video views on its social channels following its return on 30th July inside the Orlando bubble, including 2.6 billion on Instagram.
There were one billion video views across all NBA digital platforms during the NBA finals, which saw the Los Angeles Lakers secure their 17th championship with a 4-2 series win over the Miami Heat.
YouTube, meanwhile, delivered 321 million views of NBA content during the postseason, with 61 million coming during the finals.
The digital media figures will be welcome news for the NBA following the well-documented drop in its TV viewership during its return to play.
This yearβs finals, which concluded on 11th October, averaged 7.5 million viewers on Disney-owned ABC, marking a 51 per cent decline on the 2019 series between the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors.
The drop is in part due to the backlog of sporting events in the US as a result of the health crisis, which also led to audience declines for the National Hockey Leagueβs (NHL) Stanley Cup finals and the Kentucky Derby horse race."
