I'm very happy that I finally have time to watch another Barca B game. I hope you all enjoy this one as well. As dire as our chances of escaping relegation might look, we need to have faith in the new coach, the revitalization of the team, and the effort of our players. VISCA EL BARÇA!!

11' - Barcelona GOOOOLLLL Amazing first time low pass from Cucurella to the middle of the box for Alena who slots it in.
15' - Great quick one two passes by Cardona, Nahuel, and Cucurella on the left wing. Especially from Nahuel dropping back and playing with a marker on his heels.
16' - This is my first game watching the team since the change in management and I must say, I'm really impressed by the increase in heavy pressing of the opposition especially in the final third.
18' - Ortola seems to be having a nervous game. Earlier, he was struggling picking a pass and he almost gave the ball away. Just now, he caught a cross ball but he couldn't keep his hands oriented the right way and keep the ball from crossing out past the goal line. Thankfully the referee didn't catch it.

Thoughts
Apologies for letting some of you down last week; I'm very happy to have the chance to watch another game. It seems like we're using the same exact lineup and bench as the last game (Sporting Gijón). The dream of avoiding relegation is still out there and with a win here, we can make a great step forward to acheiving it. Since Garcia Pimienta took over, our playstyle has improved and so we can hope for the best here. Here's to a great game. Cheers and VISCA EL BARÇA!!

5' - So far, I'm very impressed by how quick the game is, how heavily our players are pressing, and the sharp passing. Especially Nahuel has made some strong challenges. I hope this doesn't lead to any red cards though...
8' - Very sloppy backward pass from Palencia as he tries to find Cristian Rivera. Albacete intercept the pass and it leads to a cross and wayward header. Sigh!
10' - I don't understand why our center-backs are just hoofing the ball up the field. It's frustrating. Cucurella especially has been open for a pass.
11' - Horrible sliding challenge from behind on R. De Galarreta. I forsee a red card in this game.
15' - Great combination from Carles Perez, Alena, and Cucurella who finds himself in the middle of the pitch just outside of the box who opts to pass to Nahuel who's somewhat free on the edge of the box. Nahuel completely scuffs the first time pass.
16' - AWFUL sliding challenge on Nahuel. How was that not even a yellow card??

1' - Already one difference I notice from the Lorca game is that now Cristian Rivera has a partner right in front of midfield - Carles Alena. Hopefully, this will help the team recycle possession and resist the press more efficiently.
8' - Carles Alena and Vitinho are switching sides often. Hopefully, this fluidity helps us in scoring more goals.
9' - Goal! Osasuna / Ibanez Spoke too quickly. Palencia caught out of position. Low pass across the goal, David Costas misses the interception, and Ibanez has a clear pass to goal.
13' - Bad tackle from David Costas. Lucky not to get a yellow card. Barca too eager recently and has been making many fouls.
14' - Palencia is having a bad game so far. Keeps getting pulled out of position by Osasuna winger who's dropping to midfield. And then he can't recover and/or is beaten by sprint speed.
16' - Barcelona / Cristian Rivera. Tactical foul to stop a counter attack.
19' - Interesting attack from Barca. Long ball to Vitinho in the middle of the park. He does very well to fight off two players, chest and control the ball, and lay it off to Palencia. Palencia opts to make a first touch pass forward to Carles Perez who gets tackled for a corner kick.

1' - It seems Alena is playing much further up than usual. He's playing alongside the striker, Cardona, but allowed to drop down deep.
3' - Very close! Rivera puts a through ball for Cardona who barely catches up to it before the keeper inside the box. His chip is blocked and Cucurella gets the rebound but his shot is too weak and is caught by the keeper.
7' - Beautiful Combination by Nahuel, Cardona, and Alena. Alena flicks the ball on the ground to Cardona who nutmegs the defender inside the box but the keeper gets to the ball barely before him.
9' - Strong shot from Huesca RW from the corner of the box and it hits the side netting. Cucurella did well to hold him off.
11' - David Costas. He intercepted the ball on the rights side of the field, nutmegged a Huesca player and lost it. He chased the player and pulled him down.
13' - Cardona earns another foul. He's done very well with his hold up play. He's shown considerable strength and awareness of defending press.
15' - Build up play from the backline has been poor. Either hurried clearances from the LB/RB or long strong ground passes from the CBs that miss their targets. They need to calm down and slow down the pace of the game. At least in the portion of the field.
17' - Very close for Huesca! The ball pings around the box following a Huesca cross. Their eventual strong volley is blocked by Martinez.
18' - Huesca penalty claim waived away following Nahuel holding Huesca player off from reaching the ball. Fair call and great job on Nahuel for coming back to defend.

First half:
4' - Hongla and Cucu combine with one-twos at the corner of the box. Cucu's low cross almost finds Ruiz in the box. The game is in control so far. Sevilla not pressing much.
9' - Cantelpiedra easily nutmegs Palencia and crosses into the box. Ortola easily catches it.
10' - Great series of last ditch tackles from Rivera. He shielded the ball well after shoulder the attacker in midfield and then he spun away from the next attacker.
13' - Hongla's passing has been very smooth so far. He picks up out a pass immediately before receiving the ball and doesn't hold on to it too long.
16' - Palencia lucky not to get a yellow card after holding and bringing his opponent down during a counter-attack in midfield.
18' - Great hold up play and technique from Ruiz on the touchline to control the ball and keep possession.
20' - Very close! Nahuel's cross from the right finds Ruiz whose strong shot hits the side netting. Great from Ruiz to get a great shot off from a tight angle.
22' - I'm very impressed by the quickness that Hongla operates. Ruiz drops back with the ball dragging the defenders with him. Hongla unleashes a one-touch long diagonal pass to Nahuel. Movement doesn't lead to anything, however.
25' - Wow! Nahuel lets the pass to him run by stepping over it. Cucu takes in in stride and runs to the corner of the box and passes back to Nahuel who dribbles inside the box, get's around all the defence but his shot is parried just wide by the keeper.
