A list of puns related to "2015 Metro Manila Film Festival"
Gusto ko manood sa labas can't pick ano maganda. Due to I heard MMFF have a bad reputation every year
This has been on my mind ever since and I want to tell it to everyone. Do we really need it? I know it's like marketing strategy but there's a lot of ways to market a film. Why make a float? It costs a lot of production budget and also cause traffic whenever the parade is being held at. Is the new MMDA Chairman still making rounds or leading the Metro Manila Film Festival still? Because I think that's stupid, putting a person who doesn't know anything about films in general. The committee should at least hire someone who knows how to do it, a real filmmaker perhaps?
Remember 2016? The films were all flops based on statistics and the films got pulled off the cinema one by one. People don't even gave a chance for the films to shine and fulfill their glory in the spotlight. This film festival is all about making money. I don't have a problem in making money but making money with no passion. It's all about the money, they are basically like Mr. Krabs you know?
I know that Metro Manila Film Festival is like listening to the people about you know. family friendly films I guess? But is it too stupid to do that? I mean, why not just move Metro Manila Film Festival on November like it was before back then. Then have films of.. I don't know Vice Ganda or Vic Sotto on the summer seasons, you know? Imagine hollywood blockbusters. I know it's pathetic. This film festival has lost it's prestigious back then. It should be revamped.
I would recommend that films shown in the film festival should be at least a high caliber. Parang ma-indie type of movies. This film festival should also stick with a similar feel type of movie, wag yung mixed. Parang let's say kung yung Star Wars is Sci-Fi, Drama tas yung Get Out is Horror, Drama. Gets niyo? Pwedeng ibang genres basta iisa lang yung feel ng films. Mapacomedy man yan or mapaaction basta stick with a similar feel or tone to it.
So balik tayo sa mmff parade. So like what I said, just remove this parade and replaced with a really really awesome marketing strategy that doesn't involve a parade. I don't know I feel like Metro Manila Film Festival is just a stupid yet great way to make money and profit from. But it's just too stupid to not even make it like it was before back then. A prestigious film festival where filmmakers will be appreciated and be happy for winning a prestigious award.
Ngayon kase parang nababadtrip sila kapag nanalo ng mmff award. They prefer Cinemalaya over this and you know the reason why.
... keep reading on reddit β‘Let's be honest here: MMFF will be always dominated by the view that it should be "family friendly" because children are watching, too. Well, that festival isn't proper in the first place, as it severely handicaps the films that actually shows the art, in favour of those "Christmas blockbusters" that "more properly fits the criteria they have given."
Quick story, I hate Dec 25 - Jan 7 due no international films. I've seen few MMFF pero it's a living hell(2 weeks of pain)
My solution 1)Move MMFF season to 1st week of Dec or kahit anong month like Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.
8/8 entries 3 or 2 lang ang importante,Why ?
If that's the mission
