Yesterday I rewatch the race, and I realized that everything that happened in the last lap puts in a second order a fact that went unnoticed. What happened with Dario Franchitti?
Franchitti and Hildebrand were in the same strategy (pits with 36 laps to go), but in the last laps the Scot was very slow ( to conserve fuel) and had to pit, while Hildebrand could stretch their fuel to the finish.
Does anyone know something?

This pre-race thread will remain active until just after the command to start engines at approximately 12:38pm ET. The main race thread will appear at approximately 12:30pm ET following the national anthem and "Drivers to your cars".
As this is the biggest day of the year in this community, we have a few additional notes:
- From now until the conclusion of the post-race broadcast, the community will be in approval-only mode. New posts will not appear immediately, and will require moderator approval. If you have an urgent question, please use this thread, the minutiae thread, or our Discord server.

Two-lane qualifying
After all cars are given their one guaranteed qualifying attempt, the qualifying line will form two separate lanes — Lane 1 and Lane 2. Cars queued in Lane 1 are given priority over cars queued in Lane 2, but to enter Lane 1 a car must withdraw it's existing qualifying time. Cars which enter Lane 1 but are prevented from making a qualifying attempt will have their withdrawn time reinstated.
