A list of puns related to "2008β09 Nba Season"
Has anyone calculated the salary that Pippen would command under current circumstances, based on his production?

The chances for this streak to add an eleventh consecutive season is probable with Chris Paul most likely getting an All-NBA nod this season.
Edit: ten consecutive seasons, not eight. Whoops.
Whether it be due to a bad match-up or the All-NBA recipient not playing at all due to injury, this streak has gone on for a surprisingly long time.

*years where players made first team All-NBA but didn't play in the playoffs (Kobe and Dwight)
Of course, the last time this didn't happen was in 2008. The All-NBA First Team that year was:
Chris Paul, New Orleans Hornets
Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
Kevin Garnett, Boston Celtics
Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic
We should be getting All-NBA teams kind of soon, so I'm curious to see if the streak will continue.
This is also an NBA record, breaking Stephβs previous record of 1,084 3 Point Attempts in the 2015-16 season. Crazy how much things change in only a decade.
(Yes I know Im cherrypicking a bit by moving it back to 6 instead of 5, IMO its still impressive)

I think its remarkably impressive how consistently good of a defensive team the Heat have been this decade.
Do you think this record will be broken anytime soon? I think if the record gets broken it'll be by a role player (because of the lower volume of FTs that they would take).
I'm trying to figure out which player, at what specific point in time, achieved the highest level of performance the NBA has ever seen. To me, LeBron in 2008-09 seems to fit the bill:
Regular Season:
Postseason:
Peak Shaq and MJ had some crazy years too, but 2009 LeBron seems unbeatable - his playoff run in particular was just on another plane statistically to anything else ever (although he could only carry guys like Mo Williams, Delonte West, and Anderson Varejao so far).
What single year do you think can top 2009 LeBron?

The Suns have been ridiculously impressive. I fully expected the addition of Chris Paul to vault them into the playoffs, but I had them between the 4-7 seeds. I still anticipated teams like the Lakers, Clippers, Nuggets and Jazz to be above them. The fact that they have a serious shot at the league's best record after missing the playoffs is insane.
And we all know how the 2008 Celtics turned out.
Tweet >LaMelo Ball is the first Top-3 pick to score 0 points in his NBA debut since Otto Porter Jr. (2013).
>The only other Top-3 picks to be held scoreless in their NBA debut over the last 15 seasons are Hasheem Thabeet (2009) and Greg Oden (2008).
Oof what a company
1st place in 3/13 seasons
Top 3 in 8/13 seasons
Top 5 in 9/13 seasons
Top 10 in 12/13 seasons
They were 20th in 2005/06, 29th in 2006/07 and 11th in 2007/08.
