At 11:35AM on the 13th of December, 2027, being the 26th Anniversary of the 2001 Indian Parliament Terrorist Attack, two groups of men snuck into the ground of the Parliament House at more or less the same time using falsified documents. Interviews were being scheduled for a new interior decorating position open for the upcoming Republic Day celebration at noon, and both groups of four men claimed to be teams applying jointly for the position.
As soon as the cars parked, both groups took out false floors in the car and retrieved automatic rifles, and then proceeded to open fire on people in the hallways. However, both groups are not related to each other, and both figured out that they were not the only ones engaged in some insurgency at that time. The groups were spooked and shots were exchanged between them, with one man being killed on the spot. The killed man has been identified as Jihad al-Noori, a wanted terrorist who has engaged in the killing of Hindus in Kashmir before.
Both groups have been holed up different corners of the Parliament House and are at present under siege by Indian paramilitary and police forces and the situation has stabilized. It is now being reported that Communist Insurgents decided to execute a terrorist attack, coincidentally, at the same time as members of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The situation on the ground is tense as law enforcement and military officials, being led by the highest ranking officer who is alive in New Delhi at the time, Brigadier Sikandar B.T. Raina. The nation is fixed to their television screens as men armed with rifles maintain the siege against the attackers.
Whilst we await further developments on the ground, leaders of the three major parties have released statements on the matter.
The BJP states that this attack on the nation as a whole will not go unanswered and shall not stand. Furthermore, the BJP stands with the victims of those who have been killed.
The INC states that we should not jump to conclusions to the motivations of the attackers. These two attacks, especially those involving Jihad al-Noori and his accomplices, should be referred to as "isolated incidents" until more information comes to light, and should not lead to any rash action and everyone should keep a level head.
