I was reminded of this by a similar thread asking about MTV VMAs.

Really interested in the 2001 Grammys, mainly for Eminem's performance of Stan with Elton John. There are audio recordings of it, but most of the videos I've found on various p2p media are SVCD quality at the best and appear to be sourced from a Canadian TV station rather than CBS.

I bought a DVD of it from one of those trading sites, and got a completely rank recording, basically some dude who had a really grainy antenna feed recorded it on a VHS who then transferred that to DVD. Literally worse than SVCD, thankfully it was only like $5.

I'm sure the original tapes were kept by either CBS, the RIAA or similar, and I know they re-played the Stan performance on at least one occasion on TV, I just happened to miss it.

Were there ever any reairings, or does anyone have a really good looking VHS copy?

The main thing I'm after are Stan (2001) and Lose Yourself (2003), but having the whole awards ceremony would be nice too.

I think the oscars were a missed opportunity to try something different this year. Imagine if they used different directors to direct their takes on historic film moments.

We could see Barry Jenkins direct A short scene from 12 Angry Men with Viola Davis in Henry Fonda’s role or Greta Gertwigs take on School of Rocks In The End of Time with Bo Burnham in Jack Blacks role.

I don’t know these idea are just spit balling and I’m not the right creative to actually think of the concepts
