so this was a whole series i remember watching as a kid, each episode had a different animation style than the one before it. some of them were in 2d animation, some of them seemed to be stop motion. there is only one episode in particular i can remember sorta well because it was my favourite. the basic premise of this fairy tale was that a girl lived with her old sick dad and she loves painting and birds. it opens with her singing what i believe to be the following words: "i wish i were a blackbird, just fly around and sing (...) away i'd fly, high up in the sky, on the wings of the wind".
three brothers live near the girl and her dad and they all want to marry her. the two older brothers are assholes and one of them is chubby. the youngest brother is a nice lad and he likes to carve, so he carves a windmill (or a bird) for the girl and brings a gift for the dad as well i think, but his fat brother steals the carving and gives it to the girl and pretends he made it, while the other brother steals the gift for the dad. the dad tells the brothers that he'll only let his daughter marry whichever boy brings him a golden apple from a single tree on an island in the middle of a nearby lake, which many years earlier old dad had done to marry his deceased wife, pretty's girl's mum
the two older brothers fail in various ways, one of them tries to row over and i think the other might just try and swim? however the youngest brother is idk blessed by luck or something and the lake freezes and he's able to skate on over and just take an apple. there's another musical number during this whole skating thing, unfortunately i remember nothing about it. and at some point the girl looks at the bottom of the windmill/bird carving and sees the youngest brothers initials.
now i'm not 100% sure, but i believe that other cartoon episodes i kinda remember were from this same show. one of them involved an animated version of the wife of bath's tale. ^(upon further digging i have determined that this is in fact from a completely different animated series about the canterbury tales, which does not appear to include any of these other stories) the second i vaguely recall involved a boy going on an adventure and falling in love with some fae or elf girl, and the girl tells him he can't allow anyone to kiss him when he returns home or he'll forget her. he gets home and tells his mum not to kiss him, but then his
I realize this is all speculation, I was curious what others thought about the chances of the WSOP happening in 2021. Do you think it will be significantly scaled down if it does occur?
You know, the ones that claim "the story changes based on your decisions" games?
Hello,
I read this book when I was probably 12-13 and I only remember a few details
That's about all I can remember. I have been trying to remember this book for years. Thank you to anyone how can help in anyway!
He lost
Edit: Sauce
I genuinely can not remember what it was. I remember liking the concept though. It seemed closer to conceivable to transfer brain electricity back in time to our brains of the past than to make physical material like a whole body time travel.
As quarantine gets longer the wife and I have been taking up random interests. She recently got hooked on poker and has been watching WPT. Itβs fine but I prefer to format of WSOP much better.
I searched YouTube for old events (she wants to watch full games/events not just highlight reels) and nothing. So I googled and it appears that CBS has the rights. So I download CBS all access and it simply isnβt there. ESPN+ doesnβt have it either.
Is there anywhere I can find these? Even on demand or for individual purchase? Iβm striking out at this point.
