A list of puns related to "1977 South African Grand Prix"
The crown jewel is this weekend Monaco. Does the team plan on doing any big celebrations or parties for the sponsors? >We decided to get the entire team to Monaco a day earlier than normal and treat them to a nice night out. After that it will be straight back to business and focusing on track. > > With a good result on Sunday, we will have a huge celebration Monaco style.
Another point for the team puts the team ahead of Pikainen. Coming into Monaco does the team have what it takes to score big points? >I do think we do: recent improvements in our facilities mark what is hopefully a path towards a long-term stay in FA, as well as a stronger second half of the season. The one point in front of Pikainen is rather symbolic at the moment, as it means we can hold our own for P5 on merit and not pure luck like we thought at the beginning of FRL07. The engine upgrade by the guys back at home should also help in Monaco, and really be felt in the next few, more engine-intensive races.
Well, it seems you spoke the team into 7th last week with a fantastic weekend with the first pole for the team and a good haul of points as well. How are you and the team feeling after the race? >I've been maintaining the whole season that this is more around where we expect to be. We at Ghost aren't really satisfied with anything below 7th or 8th at a minimum and we will keep pushing hard for the rest of the season to achieve our goals.
A disappointing weekend for the team with a DNF and the slowest car remaining. Did the one-stop and the tyre wear contribute to Waka's slow pace? >It's not the result we wanted because our nearest rivals also went pointless. Meanwhile, you got the two FB teams and Ghost scoring points today. To answer your question, the one-stop was a gamble that didn't work in the end. I have no concerns about the tyres. Ultimately, the main contributor for lack of pace is every team has a bogey track, and ours happens to be Kyalami.
Max Porter: Batista was the first to exit due to an engine issue, and the team just penned a 2-year deal worth 68.8m. Does this result bode well for Emanuel's future with the team? Or are there larger issues with the BMW engine? >These things happen. It's been a phenomenal season thus far for Emanuel and the

Like some, I took inspiration from Josh Revell's AfricanGP video and thought about a track that would work for Formula 1 in South Africa and made this modernization of the Prince George Circuit if it were to get a face lift and become a Grade 1 FIA track. I chose Prince George because while it isn't an interesting track as is, it has elements to it that work in its favor if the track was tweaked a bit. This is the first time I have done such a thing so please give tips on what I did right and what I could improve.
Edit: made a new version of the track that fixes the more janky parts of the track
Well, Max, a tale of two races: one driver won while the other had a accident. Thoughts on this? >It was a great weekend for Reyes to qualify on the pole with Prime tyres and then run a great race in the heavy rain. It was a challenge to overcome the 20 second deficit to Salgado but Reyes drove brilliantly to reel him in and make the pass on the final lap. I hate to see Armand retire from the race but it was a tough spot with so many drivers bunched together with different tyre ages racing hard.
A huge congrats on being voted by the teams to be the next commissioner of FRL. What do you have to say to the teams and the fans? >All I can say is thank you to the team principals for believing in me. I also have to thank Kazia, Barney, & Ray for being great candidates and supporting one another as all of believe that the top goal is to continue making FRL the best racing series in the world. We wouldn't be here today without our great fans and I will do everything I can to keep your passion as strong as it is now. Feel free to keep in touch with me on social media and let me know what is great about the FRL and what can be changed.
The biggest thing to come out of the driver market so far is Ghost signing Kimi Samurakami to a 4 year deal. How did you get one of FRL's rising stars to join the team? >At Ghost we have always had an environment where we pride ourselves on helping to develop young drivers and Kimi is no different, contract talks were extremely productive and immediately after voicing our interest Kimi and I were able to come to an agreement. We both have a extremely similar plan for where we can see the team and Kimi's career going and this was shown by the commitment of a 4 year contract, something I am personally very excited for!
An amazing race for the team leads you to your first points of the season and more importantly you are 2 points safe from relegation. How happy are you with this result? >Very happy because our drivers braved the tough rainy conditions and brought the car home to points, and the pit wall timed things well and our mechanics did a solid job as well. Everything went according to plan for once! That being said, there's a handful of races remaining so the situation might change, so we need to carry this momentum into the remaining rounds.
**A good race for the
