A list of puns related to "1930 Fifa World Cup"
Happy Saturday /r/soccer!
With the world of football still on hold, we have decided to host a series of discussion threads each Saturday, on a particular topic within the game.
To get the ball rolling, we would like to shine the spotlight in arguably the biggest game in the sport β the FIFA World Cup Final. There have been 21 World Cup Finals since the tournament began in 1930, and each is a formative part of the history of the sport.
There may be few on /r/soccer who have memories of Uruguayβs triumph in 1930, but in this thread we would like to invite discussion on any of the editions of the World Cup Final. Some starting points for discussion are listed below, but feel free to bring whatever thoughts you have to the table.
###Topics for discussion:
What is the first World Cup Final you remember watching?
What has been your favourite World Cup Final, and why? What was your least favourite?
What was the most controversial incident of all time in a World Cup Final?
What was the best goal of all time in a World Cup Final?
What was the best individual performance of all time in a World Cup Final?
What was the biggest upset of all time in a World Cup Final?
Have you ever attended a World Cup Final in person, and if so, what were your experiences and memories of the game?
