Despite his differences over the issue of prohibition with former Farmer-Labor nominee William Jennings Bryan, Hearst considered an appeasement of the still-powerful force in the party to be a necessity for party unity, and focused on their agreement in opposition to the British Empire to appoint Bryan as Secretary of State. The Pettigrew wing of the party was denied appeasement whatsoever, with Hearst viewing Eugene Debs and others as undermining his own candidacy, while the rest of the cabinet was made of Hearst allies. 46 year old Massachusetts businessman Thomas L. James A. Reed, the independent Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri who endorsed Hearst, was chosen as Postmaster General. Alabama's controversial Governor Milford W. Hello, I hope this finds you well!
I am an intern at a pretty big company, and we just finished asking users to drop their computers off on-site for the past 8 months so we could take them for 3 hrs, keep them on LAN, push our company windows update package, and have it install. Now we have to do it again for EVERY user for 20H2. I don't really know anything about anything at the moment, but the way we do our current updates seems ludicrous. To add, if the user refuses to comply or tells us to fuck off we literally can't do anything. We basically have to BEG them to let us update their machines which results in literally thousands of emails that we have to send out twice a week...
To me, this seems very inefficient, and borderline stupid to require users to come in just so we can connect them to a dock, push our company package through ivanti, and then give them the computer back because for whatever reason they don't want us pushing the packages over vpn through our software.
Surely there is a more efficient way to do this, for example pushing it over vpn and letting it update that way, or by deploying it through PDQ Deploy or WSUS or something right? I do not believe for a second that forcing users to drive sometimes over 2hrs away to leave their computer with us for 3 hours while we just push a package is efficient and/or correct.
I would like to learn more about deployment software in general and maybe even find a better way to do this task, so any comments/advice is greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the 2021 Alberta municipal elections and referenda!
Voters across Alberta municipalities will go to the polls today to elect local Mayors, Councillors, and School Trustees. Voters will also participate in local plebiscites and two province-wide referenda on the Equalization formula and Daylight Savings Time. Finally, voters will also nominate Senators-in-Waiting.
Note that some province-wide results may not come until later.
As with other live discussion threads in our subreddit, Rule 3 is generally relaxed; however, make sure that your comments and reactions are substantive and respectful.

I'm trying to find a site that summarizes all of the info on the main party leaders, their values, and platforms in something digestible that I can share with people, and for myself. Calgary has some pretty savvy political redditors, so your help would me MUCH appreciated.
Thanks!
This is happening at the same time as our municipal election. You'll vote at the same time and place for both.
You can check out a full list of candidates here
Remember, just like the equalization payments plebiscite, the AB government doesn't care what you think unless you vote like how they were going to act anyway. These provincial ballots are non-binding.
A couple that are good for a laugh:
