History of the United States Senate from the 116th Congress to Today

###Background

I've taken it upon myself as the most senior Senator to become something of record keeper when it comes to the world's greatest deliberative body. In the past, I've examined the ideology of the Senators while at other times comparing their voting records. Today, I'm going to be trying something a little different. I want to pay tribute not only to the current 10 Senators but to all those who preceded us. Being elected or appointed to this body is one of the highest privileges in America and every Senator who came before should be recognized for that honor as well. To accomplish that goal, my staff and I, in conjunction with the Senate Historical Office, have produced this easy to follow spreadsheet of the 10, previously 12, Senate seats and who occupied them since the 116th Congress. The difficulty in finding this information made it overly burdensome for Senators and citizens in their states to be reminded of history in each of these seats.

I hope this can be enjoyed by all and launch a renewed focus among Americans to commit to a life of public service. To do what President Kennedy asked of us all those years ago and see what we can do for our country. For the benefit of those who want to listen and to let me tell a few stories, I'll impart my own telling of the Story of the Ten Seats.

One brief note before I begin reliving the last 7 Senate terms with you is that I won't be addressing the former State of Sacagawea. As the state ceased to be a state at the end of the 116th Congress and it was before my time in public service, I really have nothing to add. The only interesting things to note are that Chotix was the last Senator from SC and when Rainatur-Rainehtion lost his seat partway through the term, he wasn't replaced.

###Story of the Ten Seats

AC-1 - DuceGiharm, a moderate Republican still held this seat after having won it at the start of the 115th Senate. Duce did not run for re-election when the term expired and was replaced by mika3740, who later went on to become Min. Leader when Senator Kingthero was Maj. Leader. Mika wouldn't stay long though and resigned partly through the 118th term after beating renowned Longist PGF3 to become Governor of Atlantic. She promptly picked US Attorney General SHOCKULAR as her replace
