Do NOT fall into the trap of scientists saying that we have no clear image of flying saucers/triangles. The table of the electromagnetic spectrum shows that we see just a tiny band of an enormous stretch of electromagnetism. Their statement is unscientific in itself.

What other sensors / tools do we use to image / understand the space other than the sensors for electromagnetic spectrum?

I understand we use radio waves, microwaves, visible light and other radiation that falls on the electromagnetic spectrum. Beyond this what else can we use to detect / observe the happenings in space.

I understand that there is a whole lot of vacuum in space so we can't really use audio, but what other sensory information is / can be used.

If you could see in infrared light, you would actually see warm things in dark. It is because most of things we consider β€œwarm” produce electromagnetic radiation in the IR spectrum. Things that are hotter will radiete visible light. That’s why the Sun is visible for us or a hot metal will glow, but

Theory: electromagnetic spectrum manipulation for warfare tactics

Hello. English is not my native language so if something is not understandable just tell me.

I was thinking about the velocity and maneuvers of UAPs as described by its witnesses. It exceeds any known human technology in performance, so UAPs can't be human aircraft. However, what if UAPs are just projections of electromagnetic spectrum as light, infrared, etc.? We could generate images and signals that violate physics if they were real objects, like in a movie. But in real 3D space, not on a 2D screen. There could be a more plausible human technology explanation if this is the case. Please take a look at this 2018 video, then after it continue reading: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRZMdQOMPNQ

Maybe someone developed lasers, holograms and other forms of emission (volumetric images) that can be used to generate these UAPs in the air. They could serve as decoys for military tactics, sensor jamming, etc. Maybe they even can make holograms not of just light, but of any frequency of wave (infrared, ultraviolet, microwave) to also mess with military sensors. Recently we had news about someone targeting USA personal with microwave to mess with their brains, so it could be the same perpetrator with similar technology, or maybe it is a well known technology already in the top-secret level among countries.

These volumetric images are probably delivered with help of stealth submarine drones, they could be nuclear-powered, very compact and silent, traveling slowing by the seabed, so sonar can't detect it. Maybe they act in conjunction with military satellites or even some kind of stealth sub-orbital drone, this could explain why these UAPs are detected from space to sea level, but not underwater (no sonar data as we know until now).

Would like to know what you guys think about this theory.

Autism Isn't "Like The Electromagnetic Spectrum"

This is just a minor nitpick of Kyle's "Autism is my superpower" video.

I think this analogy is flawed and leads to some big misconceptions about autism. When people hear the word spectrum they think of a 1 dimentional spectrum, electromagnetic, audio etc but this doesn't capture the complexity of the autistic spectrum.

Example of a 1D spectrum

Autism isn't a 1 dimensional spectrum between "normal" and completely autistic. Using analogies which treat autism as 1 dimensional leads teachers, parents, bosses etc to think "Well Billy is only a little bit autistic so he shouldn't have any problems if we force him to do what everyone else is doing".

Autistic people can have very low levels of presentation in certain autistic traits but have profound difficulty in others. They could for example have learned to communicate effectively enough to appear neurotypical or even gifted but have extreme difficulties processing emotions, recognizing expressions and dealing with sensory input for example. Autism is a many dimensional spectrum, a much better representation IMO would be something like a radar chart.

This is far from what a definitive autism radar chart should look like, just illustrating the sort of way autism should be conceptualized

Electromagnetic spectrum activities?

Need some help! I’m certified in bio, but took a long term sub position (probably permanent) where I’m also teaching a very low-level general science for juniors and seniors (in addition to the bio classes). The teacher that I took over for left the school high and dry- didn’t leave any materials, he didn’t use a textbook, locked out his accounts and Google classrooms, etc., so I have no resources, and I’m the only one teaching this course... the other teachers who cover physics/chemistry only teach AP/IB, teach from the book, and don’t have any online resources.

We’ve spent the past few weeks learning about waves, and I wanted to do something with the electromagnetic spectrum. The majority of my students are online-only, so any activities I do need to be virtual. The other big problem I’m having is the whole Adobe flash issue... most simulations I’m finding were flash-based, so they no longer work.

Hit me with your best EMS resources, videos, and simulations, because I’ve now spent 4 hours scouring the internet for ideas and have found very little. Thanks in advance!!

The electromagnetic spectrum is finite, what can we do?

How can we navigate the finte electromagnetic spectrum problem?

I'm interested to understand how we can navigate the electromagnetic spectrum. I'm imagining a world where everyone has a phone and other devices in the future which require EM waves. What happens if we run out of frequencys?

If for example we did and we had to change to a different frequency would we need perhaps a larger aerial? or how would this change the designs of our devices currently?

Also do aerials work by allowing you to use larger aerials for low frequency waves on phones rather than UHF or SHF?
